After upsetting Malaysia's ninth seed Ong Beng Hee in the first round of the Qatar Squash Classic, Egyptian secondary student Mohamed El Shorbagy met his match in Nick Matthew when he went down to the seventh-seeded Englishman in the last sixteen round of the men's $145,000 Super Series Platinum PSA Tour event at the Khalifa International Squash Complex in the Qatar capital Doha.

David Palmer vs. John White - Two mates were on the all-glass show court tonight, as matches resumed on the outdoor court in Chicago’s chilly night. Although watching them play each other, one would never guess that these two are the best of friends off court. They play with such sheer intensity and take no prisoners, even bumping into each other if the occasion calls for it.

The rain on Saturday in Chicago broke an all time, one day rainfall record at 7”.  Cars became stranded on one of the major expressways into the city at the underpass at Pratt Avenue which shut the Edens down for the morning.  O’Hare’s Terminal Two was closed part of the day due to flooding.  Golf courses became ponds overnight.

If it rains in baseball, the game moves into a rain delay.  Workers run out onto the infield and unroll a tarp which covers the 90’ by 90’ square to keep it dry.  Fans wait it out in the stands in hopes that the game isn’t called due to the rain.
